Mexico beach- Zihua hotel review✨

Two delicious nights in leafy and beautiful @casa. Two delicious nights in leafy and beautiful @casa.guajira
◇
If you are looking for a place to stay in La Punta, Puerto Escondido, this is a great option. The architecture and details are stunning, the rooms comfy, the pool lovely, and the location perfect to walk everywhere in La Punta.
◇
Really really love how the hotel designed around the natural environment. There is a lot of development in La Punta now but this place did it right and respectfully.

San José del Pacífico guide below- visit this hi San José del Pacífico guide below- visit this high altitude mountain paradise, in the Sierra Sur south of Oaxaca City.
◇
Visit for 1-3 nights. Pack lots of layers! It gets cold almost anytime of year.
◇
To arrive - drive the 3 hours south on the highway to Pochutla. San José is right on the highway. Or take a shared van “Suburban” from Líneas Unidas or Eclipse.
◇
Stay at @cabanasrv or @campanariohotelspa. There are also many rustic cabins and camping options as well.
◇
Have breakfast at Restaurante Pacifico (order the enfrijoladas or queso en salsa and chocolate de agua). Have dinner at @tatsusierrasur or La Taberna de Los Duendes. Reservation required for either.
Secret- If you are a foodie, check out the spot that specializes in cured meat tastings - La Torre Roure.
◇
To do- hike or walk in the forest, schedule a temazcal (traditional Zapotec sweat lodge), try some psychedelic mushrooms the area is famous for (do so respectfully, enquire about guided experiences), or just relax and read by the fire.
◇
Watch the sunset from @tatsusierrasur or the mirador at @cabanasrv.
◇
Relax and enjoy the fresh and chilly mountain air. 🌲
A glimpse into a night in San José del Pacifico. A glimpse into a night in San José del Pacifico. High altitude mountains (8000ft/2440m) in the Sierra Sur, 3 hours from Oaxaca City.

Will post a mini guide later today. Where to stay, where to eat, what to do, and how long to stay.

I look at these photos & think, wow I really am pr I look at these photos & think, wow I really am pregnant! Swipe for some bump views and also the beautiful newly renovated space at @hotellospilares
◇
Being pregnant still blows my mind all the time. It’s something I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to do in life. I wasn’t someone who was always sure I wanted to be a mom. And I spent a lot of years doing my own thing and traveling and loving my free time. But after @arkthur and I decided to go for it, it just made sense. I’m nervous, but much more excited to meet this girl who is going to change my life. ❤️❤️❤️

Have you walked this callejon in Oaxaca centro?
📍Callejón San Pablo

Arturo has covid, so it’s been a rough few days. While I’m so grateful to somehow not have caught it, we are isolating from each other at home for 10 days or until he’s negative, since I’m pregnant. He’s getting better day by day, but it’s been rough for him. damn, covid sucks.

This video was from last week doing errands and stopping for some color and photos.

This UNESCO worked heritage site is 4 hours drive from Cdmx, 1 hour from Patzcuaro. Home of famous tacos de carnitas estilo Michoacán 🤤 and a centro full of construction in beautiful cantera stone. 💕
🎉 Calenda Tip: check right around Santo Domingo 🎉 Calenda Tip: check right around Santo Domingo where most calendas start/end on weekends. Generally late afternoon is the best time. Many are private calendas, but those celebrating don’t mind if you stop to enjoy the music/dancing.

POV: any Saturday afternoon walking through Oaxaca centro.

If you rememer my posts from a few weeks ago, you might remember this stunning spectactular view of Zihua bay. It HAS to be the best view in town, and you can enjoy it from every corner of beautifully designed Casa del Cielo.

Patzcuaro is the type of place you fall in love wi Patzcuaro is the type of place you fall in love with immediately. It doesn’t matter that it’s quite small, you feel like you could spend a week wandering the streets and getting to know the nearby towns and the lake. Highly recommend a visit. Unique and beautiful culture.
